British Surfing announce team for the 2019 ISA World Games

Six surfers will travel to Miyazaki, Japan as part of the British Surfing Team to compete in this year’s International Surfing Association (ISA) World Games in September.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) World Games are an Olympic Surfing qualifier and is attracting the world’s best surfers, including four former or current World Champions from the World Surf League (WSL).

British Surfing is awarded Aspiration Grant funding

Surfing, skateboarding and climbing are among the 14 sports to have have received investment from UK Sport's new £3m Aspiration Fund.

The fund, launched in October, has been designed to help support smaller sports – those which do not receive full UK Sport funding – with their ambitions to qualify and prepare for Tokyo 2020.
